“When I Wake Up” – Singing News #1 Pick Hit For August

Nashville, TN  Over the last few years, the Old Time Preachers Quartet burst onto the scene and have solidified themselves as one of the most popular quartets in the country. Their first three radio singles all climbed into the Singing News Top 40 including “I’ll Ride This Ship To The Shore,” which climbed up to #6. Their latest song, “When I Wake Up” debuted on the Singing News Pick Hit chart as the #1 Pick Hit and #7 on the Top New Release chart for August. They have won, and been nominated for, numerous awards and have sung on Southern Gospel’s biggest stages including the Bluegate Theater, Dollywood and the National Quartet Convention. While all of this success has been exciting for the group, their mission has never been focused on these things but rather to see lives genuinely changed by the power of the Gospel. Their music is doing just that.

The Old Time Preachers Quartet know that the Lord is blessing them in a special way. “When we started this group we never dreamed that we’d have multiple hit songs and a full schedule.  We just wanted to sing and preach revivals, letting people know that the old time religion is still the answer for today’s problems. We are so thankful to the Lord for using four old-time preachers,” stated Mike Holcomb. They recently sang in 8 services in 5 days at Teay’s Valley Baptist Church to huge crowds. “We knew this is why God put this group together and that He had something different in store. We are finalizing plans for 3 day, 4 service revivals where we will each preach one night and sing at every service.  We are looking forward to being at places like Pathway Baptist Church in  Scottsboro, AL and Lighthouse Baptist Church in Temple, where we get to do what God called this group to do; sing and preach,” added Les Butler.
