“Every tribe, every tongue, every nation will bow and confess that Jesus Christ is Lord!â€
The news and media didn’t pay attention to us. The President didn’t come visit us. The church became the hands and feet of Jesus. The church realized that outside the four walls of the building stands our mission field: a city in need, a city crying out for Jesus, a city needing help, physically, emotionally and spiritually.
So, what did we do? Started working! My home church mobilized several teams to serve, IMMEDIATELY after the flood occurred. In the first week, we had 600 volunteers work on over 50 houses, neighboring churches, and entire neighborhoods. I had the privilege of visiting some of them.
Teams demolished homes, and are starting to rebuild. The community stepped in and served these people, laughed with these people, prayed with these people and rebuilt their hope, again!
As I mentioned to you last month, Missions doesn’t have to start over the big pond, but as soon as you step outside of your front door. And I always close by telling you, “Tell someone the story of Jesus. Lives will be changed and your will be one of them.â€Â This month I’m telling you the same thing I told you last month. If you can’t bring yourself to tell them, SHOW them! Show someone Jesus. Lives will be changed and yours will be one of them!
