Pinecastle Records Artists Score Big at 2019 National SPBGMA Awards Winning in Five Categories

Nashville, Tenn. – The Society for the Preservation of Bluegrass Music of America (SPBGMA) held their annual awards and convention in Nashville over the weekend, with Pinecastle Records artists winning big. Held at the Sheraton Music City Hotel, the event featured performances from the biggest stars in the genre, with artists and fans coming together to celebrate the best in Bluegrass music. The weekend was filled with showcase performances, jam sessions, and concluded with the annual National SPBGMA Awards show on Sunday night. All together, Pinecastle Records artists took home five total awards.

It was a huge night for The Farm Hands, who won multiple awards, including “Album of the Year” for their latest project Good Things, along with “Song of the Year” for the project’s lead single “Hillbilly Graham.”  With band members Tim Graves and Daryl Mosley serving as the hosts for the highly-anticipated 2019 National SPBGMA Awards show, Graves was also celebrated as “Dobro Performer of the Year.” The quartet was recognized as the 2019 “Gospel Group of the Year,” after charting multiple songs over the last year on the Gospel Weekly Airplay Chart. Dale Ann Bradley was the recipient for “Female Vocalist of the Year.” The award comes after the songstress announced her upcoming project, The Hard Way (available for pre-order here), featuring the lead single, “The Hard Way Every Time” which premiered in January on SiriusXM’s Bluegrass Junction. Bradley is also a finalist for “Best Bluegrass Album,” with her band Sister Sadie at the upcoming Grammy Awards, which take place this weekend in Los Angeles. The all-female group will be in The City of Angels attending the awards. To keep up with the band’s journey, check them out on Facebook where fans will get a special inside-glimpse of their journey.
