The World According To Josh Bio – Josh Singletary

Born and raised in small town Raiford, FL, Josh Singletary had an interest in music since day one.  He began his life long study of music, with focus on the piano, at age 6 and has been singing just as long.  Age 7 he began his relationship with the Lord.

In March of 2001, Josh moved to Nashville, TN to be pianist for The Wilburns.  He remained until the retirement of Jackie and Elaine Wilburn.  In 2006 he, Wilburn alumni, Gary Casto and Arkansas native, Dennis Dugger started the award winning Tribute Quartet.

Josh currently resides in Nashville, TN…well, actually Hermitage.  BUT, not THE Hermitage, because they don’t let people live there anymore - (without purchasing a ticket)…it’s President Andrew Jackson’s home.  If you don’t know what I’m talking about, go here: www.thehermitage.com... that’s all.

March is already here…I mean 3 months into this year already!... How many of you are still sticking to your resolution??

…goals really are good…

…if you’re gonna keep them, that is…

I’m on the way home, at the moment, from Florida.  I always enjoy coming home.  What’s weird is I can always tell… REALLY - without looking out of the window or opening the door.

I can be in the very back of the bus the whole way and I always know when we hit that South Georgia/Florida air.  It just has a different smell to it.  The doctor tells me it’s the magnesium in the air.  Because Florida is surrounded with salt water, the air is full of magnesium – which helps your allergies, by the way.

But, alas, I have to go back to Nashville…which is surrounded by mountains and full of ragweed pollen.  Now, don’t get me wrong, I love Nashville… I think it’s the perfect place to move to if you want to go from rural USA to a more industrious city – good transition city.  …but, the ragweed is horrible.

I can honestly say, I don’t think I’ve ever recognized ragweed.  What does it look like?......GOOGLE!!

Boy, there’s a company that’s made it.  I wonder if they’d ever consider sponsoring a Gospel group.  I mean, it could be an easy tax write-off for them….Huh?  …HUH?

I’m reaching the age now where I need to be more health conscious.  I don’t think people realize how what they put into their bodies really makes that big of a difference…it does.

For instance, I’ve been eating really well at home and trying fairly well at it on the road.  We decided to stop at a restaurant with some friends.  After we ate, we set up sound.  I HAVE NEVER BEEN MORE LETHARGIC IN MY LIFE! I ate some fried food (which I haven’t had in a while) and that was the first time I could tell how well the food I ate at home was doing my body.  You don’t realize it until you make that first step, stick with it AND THEN try some “old habit” food.

It really is quite amazing…...unlike pimento cheese.  …I HATE pimento cheese.

Anyway, learning to like pimento cheese is NOT in my selection of resolutions for any upcoming year!

Who in the world invented pimento cheese anyway?  What were they thinking?....GOOGLE!!!

Ok, enough of my shenanigans.  Everyone, get back to work!  …focus, Focus, FOCUS…RESOLUTE!
