The World According To Josh Bio – Josh Singletary

Born and raised in small town Raiford, FL, Josh Singletary had an interest in music since day one.  He began his life long study of music, with focus on the piano, at age 6 and has been singing just as long.  Age 7 he began his relationship with the Lord.

In March of 2001, Josh moved to Nashville, TN to be pianist for The Wilburns.  He remained until the retirement of Jackie and Elaine Wilburn.  In 2006 he, Wilburn alumni, Gary Casto and Arkansas native, Dennis Dugger started the award winning Tribute Quartet.

Josh currently resides in Nashville, TN…well, actually Hermitage.  BUT, not THE Hermitage, because they don’t let people live there anymore - (without purchasing a ticket)…it’s President Andrew Jackson’s home.  If you don’t know what I’m talking about, go here: www.thehermitage.com... that’s all.

…WHAT!?...it’s over???!?! – Well, that was quick!  All of that hoopla, EVERY YEAR, and POOF! …gone…

…I still have my Christmas music…

…he he he…

Well, it’s now 2010.  According to the world and the Mayan calendar, we’re done in 2012.  SO, if that’s true, I’d better get to living.  I have two years to do everything I want to do while here.

…Ok, I think I’ll just keep all my weight in the Word of God.  What do you think?

I don’t think the Mayans had anything to do with the One, true, living God that I serve – and neither did Nostradamus, for that matter.

So, what did you get for Christmas?  I think I’m going to have a blast with what all I got this year.  But, I will say, I’m glad my thankfulness has nothing to do with what I received.  I am so thankful for all of the individuals the Lord has placed in my life.  You know, there IS peace in knowing that my life is the hands of Almighty God.

You know, I’m glad I don’t work at the Genius Bar in the Apple store OR the Geek Squad at Best Buy.  Right now, I think I would probably be pulling my hair out.  Imagine all of the electronic gifts that they have to answer questions about, fix, talk impatient customers through.

I think I would much rather put my finger in a light socket than to have to deal with the stress of technical support.  Those guys have to be like studio engineers.  SO patient!

If you’ve never been in the studio before, when and IF you do, watch the engineer – 9.99999999999 times out of ten, he’ll (she’ll) be the calmest, most patient person in the whole building!

The new year is a reality.  There’ll be new experiences and new stories inscribed on the pages of history.  Just remember that 2012 is NOT biblically backed up, Nostradamus was not a prophet of God and the Mayan calendar is the Mayan calendar.  (What most people don’t know is that there is actually a couple of Mayan calendars in which do not end at 2012.)

ANYWAY, I’ll play with my Christmas toys, my Christmas music and I’ll call technical support whenever I need them ….and they will fix it…Or I’ll pitch a fit.

JUST KIDDING
