The Bridge Ministry Bio – Tara Jackson

Tara Jackson is Southern Gospel artist, who aspires to make music that will reach to the heart of every individual, and to see people’s lives changed by the power of God.  Her heart for ministry is rooted deeply in a loving family where ministering through music was simply a way of life.  Tara says, “I am committed to sharing Christ, and living my life as a testimony of how greatly God can use His children to share His love.”

The Bridge Ministry is an incredible organization founded by Candy Christmas that Tara feels blessed to be a part of each week.  Being a part of this exciting and very worthwhile ministry has further solidified the calling that Tara feels God has placed on her life to minister to people through song.  One of the most exciting things for Tara each week is singing with Candy Christmas as a part of The Bridge Ministry, and seeing the faces of those that come light up when they are told that they are loved…not only by the people from the ministry, but by God himself.  “To be a part of telling people that they have hope in Christ, and that there is a God that loves them with no exceptions, is amazing and very humbling.”

Tara Jackson currently resides in Nashville, TN, with her husband, Kyle Jackson.  She and her husband own Jackson Management Agency, which is a new artist management and booking company for the independent Christian artist.

Over the past couple of months, we have had many, MANY churches come and minister with us under the Jefferson Street Bridge. Many times the churches will bring their media staff with them, along with all the cameras they can handle!  Very few times do we see the footage they take, but every now and then, a YouTube search will bring up a gem. Below is a video made by the Cookeville Assembly of God in Cookeville, TN.  These folks are awesome and dedicated volunteers.  The video they made is certainly a treasure!

This past week, Edgil Grove Baptist Church from Jasper, AL, raised money to buy 850 brand new sleeping bags!  They came up to the Bridge on Tuesday, September 29, and handed out 500 of the sleep bags!  The rest will be stored in the warehouse.  But I wish you could have seen the faces on our friends under the Bridge when we told them what they were EACH getting that night!  Absolutely priceless.

May we always remember to give thanks in ALL circumstances! (1 Thessalonians 5:18)

Until next month,
Blessings,

Tara Jackson
