Providence Road is a singing group whose mission is to encourage the body of Christ to journey with Jesus through life. The group was formed in 2007, and though their name may be new to the Southern Gospel industry, these young women are well seasoned as individual vocalists and ministers of the gospel. It is truly a passion of theirs to see Southern Gospel embraced by their generation, so that the powerful message in the lyrics will continue to reach multiple generations. Providence Road has something for everyone, with their debut CD including both traditional and progressive southern gospel, along with two a capella selections.

1. What must you bring on the road every weekend while you are out singing? Toothbrush. I know, practical and boring but that's the first thing that came to mind.
2. When did you know you wanted to sing?
I can't remember a time when I didn't sing.
3. If you are going to your kitchen in
search of a snack, what will you find?
Cajun Crab Dip from Publix. Yum!
4. What do you do when you forget the
words to a song you are singing?
Ummm, get embarrassed?
5. Who inspires you and why?
There are lots of great singers that I look up to, but the ones that inspire me
are those that remain true to themselves and what they believe.
Laura Sue Brod
1. What must you bring on the road every
weekend while you are out singing?
Ok, this sounds really shallow… but I MUST have my flat iron for my hair. You
just don’t even want to know what my hair looks like before I bring that tool
out!
2. When did you know you wanted to sing?
I think I always knew I wanted to sing. But, I began to recognize God’s call on
my life to sing when people started to tell me how He spoke to them when I
sang. And to me, that’s more important than my desire to sing.
3. If you are going to your kitchen in
search of a snack, what will you find?
Popcorn, corn chips with melted cheese, or soup… any of which are accompanied by
a diet coke, always!
4. What do you do when you forget the
words to a song you are singing?
Well, if you ever hear me repeat a verse I’ve already sung, you’ll know!
5. Who inspires you and why?
I’m inspired by bluegrass musicians that make my feet tap! Most of all, I’m
inspired by people who worship our Christ even though they have to do it in
secret or even though they might have to die for it.

1. What must you bring on the road every
weekend while you are out singing?
Heels : )
2. When did you know you wanted to sing?
When I was five years old singing "I Choose To Be Happy" in a church talent
competition.
3. If you are going to your kitchen in
search of a snack, what will you find?
Instant oatmeal is what I'd find, but that's probably not what I'm craving!
4. What do you do when you forget the
words to a song you are singing?
Unfortunately, I'm not too great at making up words on the spot! I generally
just look to another group member with the look that says, "OK...help out!"
5. Who inspires you and why?
People who dare to live transparent Christian lives. The world needs more
people who are bold enough to share their stories of struggle in their walk with
the Lord as well as their times of celebration. I have a few personal friends
who fall into this category, and they are truly inspiring.
