Everyday Life Bio – Christina Donohue-Williams

When I was a little girl, I had a pink and white bedroom set that had bedposts and I would use the posts as my microphone and sing for my brother; he was my first audience!  I took piano lessons for years (thank you mother!) and totally enjoyed it.  I look back now and it is amazing to see that even then, the Lord was preparing me.  Growing up in a Christian home, I was blessed to have a mother who prayed for me every day.  We were in church every time the doors were open and would sing our hearts out.  I know that somebody did some praying for me and it was my mother; my prayer warrior.

I have a very handsome, talented, smart and totally amazing son, Cayden.  He is seven years old and my little man!  He is a merit student at school (he has been throughout his entire school days)!  Cayden takes piano lessons weekly & will begin voice lessons shortly.   He is my little angel from heaven!  I have an awesome mother, who is my angel here on earth and one brother, Daniel, who lives in South Dakota with his two little girls !  God has continued to bless me throughout my days here on earth and what a journey!

I spent a few years singing with my parents at different churches and it was an awesome experience.  After that, I took my own paths (some of which should have been less traveled), but my mother never stopped praying for me!  I always knew the Lord had a purpose for me; that my calling was with Him, but I had to be patient.

I sang with another group that still included my parents for a few years; up until the time I met my husband.  We met at a Gospel show in August 2005 and have been singing together since!

Hey everyone!!  This is Christina!!  I don’t know about anyone else, but I can tell you that I am so ready for a vacation!  This world allows us to get so busy and so overwhelmed by all that is going on…it gets crazy here on earth!  I thank God for his love and grace that he allows me to embrace; it really helps to balance me out!

It’s March, so we are getting very close to spring…which in turn makes me smile just a little more!  I love to hear the birds chirping away early in the mornings.  I enjoy watching the flowers start as little buds and bloom into beautiful flowers.  I love to see animals begin to come out from hibernation.  Actually, my son Cayden and I have already seen so many bunnies hopping all around our yard!  It gave us that warm and fuzzy feeling in our hearts!  Oh…and let us not forget that it is now staying daylight out longer!!  I totally love that!!

As we move forward into another ‘season’ let us begin a renewing and a refreshing of our mind and souls.  The stress, the hustle and bustle, the worry…it all has its own part in bringing us down emotionally and physically.  As we endure so many different situations and circumstances in our everyday lives…let us all remember to not be afraid to walk through the fires because the Lord is walking through each fire with us!!

The valleys that we endure daily in our everyday lives can sometimes be almost too much to bare.  We have to remember though, that the Lord never gives us more than we can handle.  There is so much going on right now in this world that our days seem uncertain; they surely do to me. The stress and worry that so many of us are going through are fires that we have to walk through.  It’s so difficult at times for us as fleshly humans not to worry about tomorrow and not to worry about our finances and just everyday necessities.  During all these uncertain times, the only certainty we have is Jesus Christ…our Lord and Savior.

We have to learn to put our trust in Him continuously.  It’s not easy but He never promised that it would be easy.  There are so many times that I wonder if I am going to make it thru the battle that I’m facing, even just everyday battles.  Many times I don’t see a light at the end of the tunnel and I don’t see how it can be won in my favor.  It’s during those times that I begin to talk to God, asking him to reveal to me what it is that I should be doing and to show me the way.

See, God always goes before us and prepares the way…for every battle in our lives.  To be honest, I always ask God to prepare the way for me no matter how big or how small my circumstance is at that time.  He knows our hearts desires, our souls and our minds.  He knows what we want, but He always has taught us that we don’t always get what we want; what we want is not always the will of the Lord!  I know that some of you can give me an ‘amen’ on that!!  So many times I ask God and I explain to him what I really want to happen with a certain situation but I can tell you that I don’t always get what I asked for!  Sometimes, what He gives me is a more difficult situation to overcome…with His help!  Isn’t that awesome?!  It warms my heart and soul when I think of how much He truly loves me and is with me each and every step of the way!

When I think of ‘love’, I think about the Lord and what He did for me. He went to the cross for me knowing that He was going to be crucified and to me… that is unconditional love.  We were all on His mind when He was on the cross.  He knew we were sinners but yet He loved all of us enough to die for us.  When I think about this it has a special way of renewing my mind and soul.

With spring just ahead, we start to get busier with our everyday lives!  I don’t know about you but I want to be out and about more enjoying the beautiful days that God has given me!  As we spend our days outside getting our flower gardens ready or setting out our patio furniture, etc., let us take time to talk with the Lord.  Please take the time to renew your mind…to renew your soul…to renew relationships that maybe we let slip away.  Let your love blossom like flowers with new and old friends but most of all let your love blossom in your everyday lives with the Lord!!

I pray that the words below will touch your heart and the renewing of your mind and soul will begin.  This song touches my heart and reminds me daily that Jesus loves me unconditionally.  Every time I hear this song it brings tears to my eyes.  The words are so powerful and so true.  The song ‘When He Was On The Cross’ was written by Ronnie Hinson and Mike Payne; two incredibly gifted, talented and Godly men who love the Lord.  They are amazing songwriters and singers who allow the Lord to work through them in a mighty way!

WHEN HE WAS ON THE CROSS
I’m not on an ego trip I’m nothing on my own
I make mistakes and often slip
Just common flesh and bone
But I’ll prove someday just what I say
 I’m of a special kind
When He was on the cross I was on His mind

A look of love was on His face
 The thorns on His head
The blood was on that scarlet robe
And stained it crimson red
Though His eyes were on the crowd that day
He looked ahead in time
‘Cause when He was on the cross
 I was on His mind

He knew me yet He loved me
He whose glory made the heavens shine
So unworthy of such mercy
Yet when He was on the cross I was on His mind

Yet when He was on the cross I was on His mind

                                                               Ronnie Hinson/Mike Payne

I pray that you have received some encouragement with the above words.  Let us all take back what the devil has stole from us seven-fold!!  I pray God continues to Bless each one of you in a mighty way!!

“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable; and perfect, will of God.”   -Romans 12:2

“But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”  -Isaiah 40:31

         Many Blessings!!

            ~Christina~
