I have been praying about what to write about this month and God says “Share Your Heart”. So here I go……..

My heart is heavy as I write this month. I am going through some personal trials that are very heavy to carry.  I go out every week and I stand and sing and tell people to lay their problems down at the feet of Jesus.. Don’t carry your burden. Leave it there. Bring all your needs to the altar. But then I leave and pick mine right back up every night.

It is very hard as someone in ministry to hide when we hurt. But we somehow manage to hold back our tears while we encourage someone and at the same time we are longing for God to send someone to us with a word for our situation.

There are many times when I am singing a song I am singing it to myself as well as the people setting there in the audience.

I know many of you out there are doing the same thing and I just want to encourage everyone that is in the ministry to keep the faith. God is still on the throne. He is the Waymaker. He is our Counselor. He is our Provider. He is … He is…

At times when we feel low and we feel like we have nothing left to give to others he will renew our strength. He will give us a fresh anointing. It is like the song that the Isaacs sing, “He Understands My Tears”. He knows what we need. He knows about our hurt. He knows our problems.

Hebrews 10:35-36 says, “Do not lose the courage that you had in the past, which has a great reward. You must hold on, so you can do what God wants and receive what he has promised.”

Do not allow the enemy to tell you that you can’t have a ministry because you are going through some trials. That is a lie from the pit of hell. When we are being fought from every side we know one thing for sure, “We are right where God wants us”. When you are no threat to the enemy he will not bother you … Think about it. …

Continue doing what God has called you to do. Find a man or woman of God to pray with you and to hold you up in prayer every day. We all need that.

There is another great song by the Whisnant’s that says, I’ll Pray For You, You Pray For Me, And Together We’ll Touch Heaven On Our Knees.

I want to ask you all to pray for me and send me a email and I will pray for you. God has called each of us for such a time as this. There are people waiting to hear a song that you sing, or hear a message that you preach. Go do what God has called you to do and be encouraged in Jesus name…

There is a quote by Max Lucado that I want to leave with you this month.

“Father, you promised that there would be faith and strength and hope to meet life’s problems. Father, give that strength to those whose anxieties have buried their dreams, whose illnesses have hospitalized their hopes, and whose burdens are bigger than their shoulders.

Until next time, Keep Looking Up
