THE STATE OF TENNESSEE TO HONOR DARRYL WORLEY WITH JOINT RESOLUTION

Nashville, Tenn. — Country music star Darryl Worley will be honored by the State of Tennessee next week.  On Thursday, April 20 at 9:00 a.m. CT the House of Representatives of the One Hundred Tenth General Assembly of the State of Tennessee, and the Senate, will present Worley with a joint resolution, honoring him for his years of charitable contributions.  State Representative David Byrd will recognize Worley on the House Floor of the Tennessee State Capitol in Nashville.

“I take a lot of pride in being from the great state of Tennessee,” says Worley.  “I hope to always be remembered as a real Volunteer.  I am truly overjoyed and humbled by this gesture. It is such a huge honor to be recognized and thank you all from the bottom of my heart.”
The resolution praises Worley for his “meritorious service to the citizens of the State of Tennessee.”  It goes on to list his vast amount of charitable works: The Darryl Worley Foundation, The Leader In Me program, the Tennessee River Run, and his patriotism and support to those serving in the United States Armed Forces.
“Darryl Worley’s every endeavor is imbued with empathy and intended to help those in need, and it is fitting that he be honored,” states the resolution.
Following the recognition, Worley will perform his #1 hit, “Have You Forgotten,” on the House Floor.
